Hey everyone! Sorry for the lack of newsletters for a couple weeks here, as I’ve had to focus on my real job & some personal things, and I didn’t make it a priority to send out the newsletter when new episodes of Follow Friday dropped.
Since my last email, we’ve put out two episodes, which you already know if you subscribe to the podcast in your podcast app. But ICYMI! One interview is with Annie Rauwerda, the creator of Depths of Wikipedia, and the other is with Roman Mars, the host of 99% Invisible; Annie was recommended by friend of the show Josh Fruhlinger, and Roman has been on my guest wishlist since the very beginning.
Which brings me to the bittersweet news that this Friday’s new episode, featuring video essayist Patrick Willems, will be the season finale for Follow Friday. As previously mentioned, I have other things pulling on my attention and I told myself that I wouldn’t let this podcast become a liability, so I’m choosing to take a break before the show can break me.
I’ve been thinking about and working on Follow Friday every week since November of 2020, and I want to make more of it in the future. But I don’t know when season 2 would be; my best guess is early 2023, but let’s be honest, who can predict anything right now?
Whether this is merely the end of the season or winds up being more than that, I’m super proud of Follow Friday and how I’ve grown as a podcast since I started making it. Just in case it’s the end: Thank you for listening, for sharing, and for supporting independent podcasting.
I’ll be back in your inbox on Friday with the new one, and I hope you’ll give it a listen. Thanks!
